New Acura Flagship to Debut at the New York International Auto Show

Tetsuo Iwamura, president and CEO of American Honda Motor Co., will introduce Acura's new flagship sedan at a press conference held on April 4, 2012 at 1:50 PM (EST) in the Acura booth.  Employing an array of new Acura technologies, including the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® system, the concept vehicle will deliver an entirely new level of performance, sophistication and comfort. According to wardsauto.com, the RL will get its name changed to the RLX and be completely redesigned.

Acura just seems so confused w/ life. Hopefully all these changes pan out for them. I do wish they went back to names instead of alpha-numeric but @ the very least have some logic to it - like how "-DX" seems to represent their crossovers but the "-L" & "-SX" & now "-LX" makes no sense ... yet.

Yeah. I understand why they are going the alpha-numeric route, but names like Integra, Vigor, and Legend had a much better ring. But I hope eventually there is some kind of explanation to the way things are named... ILX, RLX, RDX, MDX, TSX, NSX, from this it looks like the TL will change to TLX.
