MIL Comes On With DTC P1441

Supersedes 00‑003 dated June 5, 2000

Affected Vehicles

Year Model Trim VIN Range
1998–99 SLX ALL ALL

Revision Summary

The PGM Tester, Smart Cable, and software for SLX reprogramming are no longer available. Some generic scan tools may still work. If PCM updating is required, the PCM must be sent to the vendor for reprogramming.

Symptom

The MIL comes on and DTC P1441 (EVAP system flow during non‑purge) is stored.

Possible Causes

The PCM software does not compensate for fuel tank pressure sensor signal variation when fuel sloshes in a nearly full tank.

Corrective Action

Replace the 20‑to‑120‑ohm fuel sending unit with an 80‑to‑290‑ohm unit and have the PCM updated.

CMTK, CMTL, CMTM
CSWP, CSWR
CXKF, CXWP

If the code is not listed, the PCM has already been updated. Diagnose other causes using the SLX service manual and ETM.

2. Note the fuel gauge reading, then disconnect the negative battery cable.

Acura ZDX Owners to Gain Access to Tesla Supercharger Network in June 2025

Acura ZDX owners will gain access to more than 20,000 select Tesla Superchargers across the United States starting in June 2025 with the availability of the first Acura-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter. Approved adapters will better ensure a safe and reliable charging experience for Acura customers. The adapter was tested for safety performance and compatibility with the ZDX for use at any NACS DC fast-charging point and is the only DC fast charging adapter approved by Acura.

Customers can purchase the new Acura-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter from authorized Acura dealerships in the United States starting in June, with pricing to be confirmed closer to market introduction. Acura ZDX owners will be notified via the Acura EV apps when adapters are available to purchase and, at that time, they will also be able to use the apps to locate authorized Supercharger locations. To better ensure a safe and reliable charging experience, Tesla requires  and, accordingly, Acura strongly recommends, the use of approved adapters when charging at Tesla Supercharger stations. Damage caused by using unapproved adapters may not be covered by vehicles' limited warranties.

Honda and Acura Charging Initiatives
By 2030, Honda and Acura EV owners will have access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charge points across North America, including the Tesla Supercharger network, all-new IONNA DC fast-charging network and the EVgo and Electrify America charging networks.

Acura Wins Sebring

After 12 hours of hard-fought IMSA endurance racing it was Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Global on top, with the #40 Acura ARX-06 taking the honors in the 2024 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Starting third, the #40 crew of Deletraz, Jordan Taylor and Colton Herta led just 18 laps en route to victory, but a thrilling late-race pass in GT traffic with just four laps to go was all they needed to catapult themselves to the win.

On the way to said victory, Deletraz also set the fastest lap time in the IMSA GTP class of 1:49.497. With tonight's win, Acura moves into an early-season three-way tie for the IMSA GTP Manufacturers' Championship; while drivers Deletraz, Jordan Taylor and Herta are tied for first in the drivers' title chase.

The sister #10 Acura ARX-06 driven by Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque and Brendon Hartley led 55 laps on the day before losing a lap in pitlane after the team noticed smoke trailing from the rear of the car. Thankfully, it was a quick fix and the #10 crew was able to continue to the end where they would wind up fifth.
